Between the 27th of March to the 1st of April 2022, The Chamber of Mines of Mozambique received a visit from the Chamber of Industry of Chemnitz (IHK Chemnitz) represented by Alexa Von Künsberg (Head of International Relations).
The purpose of her visit was to help reactivate a chamber that had been dormant since its creation in 2012. Therefore, during this week, a two day workshop was organized in Southern Sun Hotel, Maputo were mining titleholders were given a presentation about the Chamber of Mines of Mozambique by Eugenio Silva (Executive Director), the presentation served to explain CMM objectives, statutes and clarification of questions in relation to CMM. A total of 25 mining companies including the Head of the Competence Centre for the and Mineral Resources at the German Chamber Commerce in South Africa, Simon Doleschal, Representative of the SA German Chamber of Commerce in Mozambique, Holger Hey and representative of the German Embassy in Maputo, Rudiger Zettel participated in the event.
