“At Altona, we believe in the strong long-term fundamentals of the magnetic rare earth market, driven by the green energy transition and technological progress, including new emerging robots, Chinese dominance in production is slowing down the financing and development of independent rare earth mines. In this situation, and considering Altona’s advantageous position and experience in Africa, the board of directors decided to diversify the country’s portfolio to cover other critical minerals. We are very interested in copper, tin, lithium and niobium”.
