Promote the defense of the interests of its members in the pursuit of mining activities;
Comment on any proposal of legislation relating to the activity mining or that could affect members or whatever relevant to members;
Intervene in the definition and implementation of policies, strategies and plans of action concerning the creation and infrastructure development necessary for the pursuit of mining activities.
Safeguard the interests of its members in the negotiations relating to labor matters with trade union organizations and/or with the government and participate in the development of plans pensions, social security, and funds of medical assistance for the benefit of members’ workers.
Promote gender-equality in the mining industry.
Participate in project for the promotion and development of infrastructure and logistical services necessary for the pursuit of mining activities.
Develop and recommend Corporate Social Responsibility and Health and Safety standards for the mining industry.

Promote and support cooperation actions between the association and others mining industry associations the ministry that oversees the mining sector and other ministries and relevant government bodies, research institutions, development agencies, companies, and agencies of the mining sector.
Disclose to members of the association, and where appropriate, to society in general the results of studies, research and programs cooperation developed in relation to its objectives.
Promote and support scientific and technical research as well as professional training.
Participate in meetings, lectures, and forums, national and international, that are in the interest of the association or its members in carrying out of its objectives.
