This exclusive fact-finding and knowledge-exchange and networking workshop brings together chambers of mines, industry
and commerce, industry leaders, experts and stakeholders to explore the dynamic interplay between Southern African
mining industry, chambers and European Market requirements and access conditions for (critical) minerals. The event
focuses on fostering transparency, sustainability, and compliance within supply chains, emphasizing the strategic role of
mining chambers, instruments such as certifications and standards in enabling access to European markets.
This Seminar provides a unique platform to exchange insights, identify best practices, and build partnerships for sustainable,
traceable, and resilient critical mineral supply chain, specially between Southern Africa and Europe.
Furthermore the Seminar discusses and shall strengthen the role of Chambers of Mines from Southern Africa towards the
markets for (critical) minerals in Europe, that can be multifaceted, emphasizing advocacy, coordination, capacity-building,
and compliance facilitation. By taking on these or similar roles, Southern African Chambers of Mines can strengthen their
